    I chose this shoe because I was looking for a minimalist shoe to compliment the POSE method of running. I normally run on a 5mm Nike Free so going to a no-rise in the heel shoe was going to be different. I was not sure how it would feel. If you've never run on this type of shoe it is probably going to take some getting used to before going long distances. My first run was 6x800 and I definitely felt it in my arches. This is not the shoes fault, rather getting used to running truly on my forefoot.

    In the Nike I wear a size 12, but in all other shoes, dress and otherwise, I wear an 11. These Inov-8's compare to the 11's.Nike's must run big.

    I was amazed at the drop in the heel right off the back. It almost felt like my knees were buckling - so take it slow. The toe-box on all other shoes did not fit my feet well. My 2nd toe is slightly longer than the big toe and typically pushes against the end even when the rest of the shoe fits perfectly. Going bigger to accommodate this meant an oversized shoe altogether so I had to endure killing my big toe nail after long runs. With this shoe, there is none of that! Some reviewers say that the toe-box fits strangely comparable to the rest of the shoe. I do not find this to be the case.

    I like it. I have yet to do a long run. I'll update this review when I do. For now - get them! I am probably going to order a 2nd pair if all goes well!

    This was my second try with INOV-8's, the first pair I had tore on me within a few weeks. Since I always hear great things about them I gave them another try. These were great, they are light, fit well, I love the no shoe strings to tie. I used them on my runs and workouts, the only problem is trying to do push-ups/planks/mountain climbers on artificial turf there is hardly any grip. They are running shoes so I would not fault them for that.

    This is my fault, but I didn't understand the double sized sizing. These are unisex and the first number is the mens size and the second is the woman's size. I didn't understand that and ordered according to the first number and so my shoes are HUGE. In order to return them, you have to request and wait for a return auth number, which I am still waiting for. Lime green is my favorite color but they don't carry my size so I ordered a blue pair with a pink sole. I did receive those shoes, they were the proper fit and I absolutely love wearing them to Crossfit. I would have preferred these green ones but oh well. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about the sizing because I didn't understand it.
    I will re-request the RAN number today. if I don't get it soon, I am changing this to one star for poor customer service.

    Great product from a good company. This is my fourth pair starting from the Road x233 which I got two because I destroyed the first pair. Got the Road x255 and now this, the fit is about a half size bigger from the other shoes but the shoe fits awesome. I was hoping that the laces would stretch but that's a negative. I was feeling that the shoe was a little tight so I removed the insoles and it made a great difference. Overall, this shoe is great for short runs ranging from 5K's to a Half marathon. If this is your first venture into zero drop shoes, just take it easy for a few runs so that your feet get strong and monitor any soreness that you might experience.

    These are definitely one of my favorite shoes from one of my favorite brands. I am glad they made a light, zero drop, road shoe because that is what fills my needs.

    I have the green ones and the color way is actually much brighter than the picture. The color definitely will set you apart from the crowd. The white soles however do show dirt quickly.

    The quick lace system is just awesome. I would rate it second to only a Boa system.

    My only complaint is the uppers are really not very breathable which is unusual in a shoe of this type. I am used to my Newton MV3's or my Mizuno Wave Universe 5's that basically are so thin you can see your foot. Living in Texas, it does mean a very sweaty foot especially for the lack of good drainage.

    But I still love them, I just reserve them for winter and indoor runs.

    I love these shoes. I use them for weightlifting and getting to and from Spin class/the pool. They feel like they are barely there. They are just a little harder to get on because the upper comes all the way up, but I love how they feel once they are on my feet. They really don't breathe well so they started smelling from me wearing them all the time. ((Thank goodness for the product "No More Stinky Feet" (yes, that's a real thing and it works!)) Right now I run in a stability shoe and run high milage. I don't have the patience to train my body to make the switch, but I can see the appeal of a minimalist running shoe. The other inov8s I have run small (I usually wear an 8.5 in a regular shoe, but in inov8 I have to get a 9 or 9.5. These fit true to size. I'm glad I got the 8.5.

    Ich komme mit dem Schuh sehr gut zurecht. Ich laufe neuerdings hauptsächlich auf dem Vorderfuß und da passt sich dieser Schuh mit seiner beweglichen Sohle sehr gut an. Nur bei matschigem Wetter wird es schnell eine rutschige Angelegenheit beim Laufen, da der Schuh so gut wie kein Profil hat. Dafür werde ich mir eine andere Variante von Inov8 Bare-X Lite besorgen!
