The contractors have cut away the existing roof to make room for the new roof connection.
Here is what $500 worth of fill dirt (sand) looks like:
Our new walls and roof arrived in a truck!
Our contractor has selected a SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) product from Structall. They look like stacks of building blocks!
Each block fits into a track and interlocks with the next block.
The SIP appears to be styrofoam sandwiched between two sheets of aluminum which has very good insulation value and is surprisingly strong.
We can't wait to see the walls go up!
