Before the race, I felt good and ready to run.

On your marks, GO!

I finished 3rd Overall (earning a nice gift certificate to Lloyd Clarke Sports) with a new age group PR of almost 50 seconds faster than my Turkey Trot in November, even though the Paynes Prairie trails make a much tougher course (more sugar sand).
My finish time was 38:56 with the following mile splits: 6:12, 6:18, 6:24, 6:25, 6:18, 6:10
I wore my super light NB Minimus MT00 trail shoes (in green for the St. Patrick's Day holiday weekend) and they are great for racing.

I have been making modifications to my running technique (again), and I have to say that the new running technique is working. I definitely felt like I was racing on Saturday. Very pleased with my progress and looking forward to upcoming races.
